Full-Day E-Bike Adventure Tour

13000yen/person
10:00 - 15:30 Minimun 2 people

Explore the Satoyama Countryside of Northern Nagano by E-MTB

This full-day tour takes you on a ride through the quiet backroads surrounding Lake Nojiri and the Kurohime highlands — along idyllic farm tracks, winding forest paths, and ancient mountain trails that locals have travelled for generations. Along the way, the scenery unfolds like a storybook: the sweeping panorama of the five peaks of northern Nagano, — the shores of Lake Nojiri where fossils of the Naumann Elephant were unearthed, and a 350-year-old irrigation canal that still flows through the fields today. History, nature, and rural Japanese life — all in a single day, deep inside Myoko-Togakushi Renzan National Park.

Tackle Any Terrain with Our E-MTBs

We ride two models of electric mountain bike: the TAGETE (suited to riders 155–175cm) and the semi-fat-tyre NERONE (suited to riders 165–190cm). The electric assist handles the hills, so you can focus on the scenery and soak it all in at your own pace.

Local Knowledge, Hidden Trails

Your guide knows every back lane, hidden viewpoint, and local secret in the area. These are the places you'd never find on your own — and would almost certainly miss from behind the wheel of a car.

Your Memories, Captured

Your guide will photograph you along the way and share the images with you after the tour — a little something to remember the day by. (On request)

A Different Ride Every Season

Northern Nagano's four seasons couldn't be more distinct. In spring, the snow-capped peaks reflect in the still water of freshly flooded rice paddies. Summer brings cool breezes off Lake Nojiri, perfect for a swim after the ride. By autumn, the mountains and forests are ablaze with gold and red, framing the fields below. Every season has its own magic — come and discover yours.

10:00 AM - Meet
Meet at Kurohime Station for a quick briefing and a short practice ride to get comfortable on the E-MTB.
10:30 AM - Tour Start
Ride out along an unpaved irrigation track toward the Torii River — a crystal-clear stream fed by the snowmelt of Togakushi — with the five peaks of northern Nagano spread out ahead of you.
11:30 AM - Riding along the 350 years old irrigation canal
Ride alongside the Denkuro irrigation canal — an engineering feat built 350 years ago that still waters these fields today. Your guide brings to life the story of Nojiri-juku, once a thriving post town on the Hokkoku Kaido road, and the site of Japan’s first pumped-storage hydroelectric plant.
12:50 AM - Lunch Time
On a fine day, stop for lunch at a lakeside café terrace or picnic in the park. Then saddle back up and explore the shores of Lake Nojiri.
14:30 PM - Experience a time slip
Deep in the Tokusa district, a tunnel bored through the rock over 130 years ago still stands — and you’ll ride straight through it. A genuine step back in time.
15:30 PM - Tour Finish
Roll back into Kurohime Station — tired legs, full heart.
